Welcome
This is the official website of the Parke County Non-Partisan Committee on Political Education (COPE). The purpose of the Parke County COPE is to:
- Educate members of the committee and other interested Parke County citizens and property owners about the functions and duties of township, county and state government units and locally elected officials.
- Inform the public about the positions of the office holders and candidates on issues affecting our community.
- Compare these positions to the Goals and Objectives of the Parke County Comprehensive Plan Adopted March 2007.
- Evaluate the Indiana Commission on Local Government Reform report “Streamlining Local Government”. Educate members and others on its impact on Parke County.
- Provide information to evaluate candidates for local offices.

The Parke County 2008 Primary unofficial results were released by
the Parke County Clerk on Tuesday after the polls closed.

The topic for the June 28th Parke County COPE meeting was Property Taxes and the impact of the new legislation on property taxes, the program was presented by Mark Spelbring.
